CHAP. 254.— An act to authorize and direct the Secretary of the Treasury to pay over certain moneys to the State of South Carolina, as prescribed by the act of August thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety, entitled “An act to apply a portion of the proceeds of the public lands to the more complete endowment and support of the colleges for the benefit of agriculture and the mechanic arts established under the provisions of an act of Congress approved July second, eighteen hundred and sixty-two.”July 26, 1892. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,South Carolina.
To be paid allotment for agricultural colleges. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed, notwithstanding the adverse report of the Secretary of the Interior, to pay over to the 272 proper authorities of the State of South Carolina, in accordance with an act of the legislature of that State approved December twenty-fourth, anno Domini eighteen hundred and ninety, the amount of money to which said State is now entitled under the act of Congress approved Vol. 26, p. 417.August thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety, entitled “An act to apply a portion of the proceeds of the public lands to the more complete endowment and support of the colleges for the benefit of agriculture and the mechanic arts established under the provisions of an act of Congress approved July second, eighteen hundred and sixty-two.
