CHAP. 162.— An Act removing charge of desertion against Lucius W. Hayford, Worcester, Vermont.February 24, 1893. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Lucius W. Hayford.Charge of desertion removed. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion now standing on the record against Lucius W. Hayford, late of Company H, Sixth Vermont Infantry, and to insert in lieu thereof the words, “Absent without leave from December thirteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, to February eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, when he enlisted under the name of John Brice in Company L, Second Connecticut Heavy Artillery, and served faithfully in that organization until mustered out, August eighteenth, eighteen *Proviso*.No pay. etc.hundred and sixty-five: *Provided*, That no bounty, pay. or emoluments shall become due or payable by virtue of the passage of this act.
