CHAP. 986.— An Act granting an increase of pension to Mrs. Ellen W. Thornton, widow of the late Captain James S. Thornton, United States Navy.September 26, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Ellen W.Thornton.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Ellen W.
Thornton, widow of the late Captain James 8. Thornton, of the United States Navy, at the rate of fifty dollars per month, said pension to be in lieu of that which she now receives. Approved, September 26, 1890.
