CHAP. 507.— An Act for the relief of George W. Quintard and George E. Weed, assignees of John Roach, deceased.March 2, 1891. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,John Roach.Payment to assignees of monitors “Puritan” and “Roanoke.” That the Secretary of the Treasury be,'and he is hereby, directed to pay to George W. Quintard and George E. Weed, assignees of John Roach. deceased, out of any moneys in the Treasury nut otherwise appropriated, the following sums and on the following accounts, that is to say:
The sum of thirty-eight thousand eight hundred and forty dollars and forty cents, for extra work done by order of the Navy Department requiring a change in the specifications and increase of the dimensions of the iron frame and hull of the monitor Puritan; and the further sum of twenty thousand two hundred and seventy-four dollars and twenty-five cents, for the care, towage, pilotage, and wharf-age of the monitor Roanoke from March seventeenth, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, to September ninth, eighteen hundred and eighty-three.
