CHAP. 436.— An Act authorizing and directing the Secretary of War to establish new harbor-lines in Portage Lake, Houghton County, Michigan.June 20, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Portage Lake, Mich. That the Secretary of War is hereby authorized and directed as speedily as the same canSecretary of War to establish new harbor-lines in.*Post*, p. 435. be done, to establish new harbor-lines in Portage Lake, Houghton County, Michigan, and that on each side of said Portage Lake between the shore and its corresponding harbor-line established as aforesaid, riparian owners may place and discharge, behind substantialRiparian owners may dump tailings, etc., within. bulkheads previously constructed along said harbor-lines, where such discharge may be made, the refuse, debris, tailings, or product of stamp mills.
Sec. 2. That all laws, and parts of laws in conflict with this act,Repeal.Operation. are repealed. This act shall be in force from its passage. Approved, June 20, 1890.
