CHAP. 428.— An Act to amand section two hundred and four of the Revised Statutes of the United States, relating to the District of Columbia.June 17, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Water-mains, pipes., etc., District of Columbia.[R. S., D. C., sec. 204, p. 23, amended](/us/rs/dc/t/s204/p23).Commissioners to have discretionary power to lay, etc. That section two hundred and four of the Revised Statutes of the United States, relating to the District of Columbia, be amended so as to read as follows:
“The Commissioners of the District of Columbia shall have the power to lay water mains and water pipes and to erect fireplugs and hydrants wherever the same may be in their judgment necessary for the public safety, comfort, or health.” Approved, June 17, 1890.
