CHAP. 395.— An Act granting an increase of pension to William J. Mathis.February 28, 1891. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,William J. Mathis.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to place upon the pension roll, subject to the provisions of the pension law, the name of William J. Mathis, late a soldier of Company E, Second Indiana Infantry, during the Mexican war, and pay him a monthly pension of twenty dollars, in lieu of the amount now paid him under certificate numbered nine thousand five hundred and forty-five. Approved, February 28, 1891.
