CHAP. 26.— An act to amend section forty-four hundred and twenty-six of the Revised Statutes of the United States, regulation of steam-vessels.December 22, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Steamboat inspection service. R. S., sec. 4426, p. 858, amended. That section forty-four hundred and twenty-six of the Revised Statutes of the United States be amended by adding the following words: " “*Provided, however*,*Proviso*.
Small open steam-launches excepted. That in open steam-launches of ten tons burden and under, one person, if duly qualified, may serve in the double capacity of pilot and engineer.” " Approved, December 22, 1890.
