CHAP. 22.— An Act for the relief of the Sioux Indians at Devil’s LakeFebruary 27, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Sioux at Devil’s Lake, N. Dak., to be relieved. That the Secretary of the Interior be. and hereby is. directed and authorized to purchase under contract or in open market at his discretion, for the relief of the Sioux Indians located at the Devil’s Lake Agency, North Dakota, seeds for planting purposes; subsistence supplies;
Clothing and otherSupplies. articles of a beneficial character, to relieve their immediate pressing wants and necessities; and the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars,Appropriation. or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the United States Treasury not otherwise appropriated. for the purposes above named, to be immediately available.
