CHAP. 183.— An Act to provide for the increase of the limit of cost of site and public buildings at Newark, New Jersey.May 2, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Newark, N. J.Public building, etc.Addition to.Vol. 25, p. 43. That the act of Congress.approved March first, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to authorize and direct the Secretary of the Treasury to acquire by purchase or condemnation such land as he may deem necessary in addition to the site of the customhouse and post-office building; to remove the present customhouse and post-office building, and to erect, in addition to the building known as the Church building, a suitable, commodious, and substantial building, including fireproof vaults, heating and ventilating apparatus, elevators, and approaches, complete, for the use and accommodation of the United States customhouse, post-office, and other Government offices, in the city of Newark and State of New Limit of cost increased.Jersey; and for said purposes the limit of cost of site and buildings be, and the same is hereby, increased from three hundred and fifty thousand dollars, fixed by act of Congress approved March first eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, to six hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
