CHAP. 1231.— An Act to increase of pension to Mrs. Mary B. Cushing.September 30, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Mary B. Cushing.Pension increased. That the Secretary the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to increase the pension of Mrs. Mary B. Cushing, mother of the late Lieutenant Alonzo H. Cushing. Battery A. Fourth United States Artillery, who was killed at the battle of Gettysburg; also the mother of Howard B.
Cushing, late first lieutenant Third United States Cavalry, who was killed in battle by Indians, in Arizona, in eighteen hundred and seventy-one; also the mother of William B. Cushing, commander United States Navy, who commanded at the sinking of the Confederate war vessel Albemarle during the war of the rebellion, who died in eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, and pay her a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month, in lieu of the pension she now receives.
