CHAP. 1146.— An Act to increase the pension of Sanford Kirkpatrick.September 30, 1890. Whereas, Sanford Kirkpatrick, late a soldier of Company K, SecondPreamble. Iowa Infantry Volunteers, is now a pensioner at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month; and Whereas, he has recently been in the United States internal revenue service and in the discharge of his duty in such revenue service was shot and rendered blind: Therefore, *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*Sanford Kirkpatrick.Pension increased., That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to place upon the invalid pension-roll of the United States the name of said Sanford Kirkpatrick at the increased rate of forty dollars per month, subject to the limitation of the pension laws and'in lieu of the pension which he is now drawing.
