CHAP. 113.— An act to amend section one hundred and eighty of the Revised Statutes of the United States.February 6, 1891. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Temporary appointments to fill vacancies by death, etc., of beads or Departments. R. S., sec. 180, p. 29, amended. Limit increased. That section one hundred and eighty of the Revised Statutes of the United States, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: A vacancy occasioned by death or resignation must not be temporarily filled under the three preceding sections for a longer period than thirty days. Approved, February 6, 1891.
