CHAP. 1005.— An Act for the relief of Doctor Carl Ruckert.September 27, 1890. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Carl Ruckert.Payment to, for lost coupons. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to redeem United States five per centum coupon bond numbered one hundred and ' seventeen thousand and forty-two for one thousand dollars, act of March third, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, ten forties, with interest thereon from the first day of September, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, to the eighteenth of July, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine; also United States six per centum coupon bond numbered one hundred and ninety-eight thousand three hundred and forty-four for one thousand dollars, act of March third, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, consols of eighteen hundred and sixty-five, with interest thereon from the first day of January, eighteen hundred and seventy-six. to the twenty-seventh day of February, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, in favor of Frederick Pistorius, attorney for Doctor Carl Ruckert, upon the surrender of the bonds and the filing of a bond of indemnity which shall be satisfactoryBond of indemnity. to the Secretary of the Treasury in double the amount of the coupons belonging to bond numbered one hundred and seventeen thousand and forty-two. for interest from September first, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, to September first, nineteen hundred and three, 1270 and for coupons belonging to bond numbered one hundred and ninety-eight thousand three hundred and forty-four, for interest from January first, eighteen hundred and seventy-six, to January first, eighteen hundred and eighty-five; the said coupons having been detached from the bonds, for safe keeping in a separate place, and afterwards destroyed.
