CHAP. 774.— An Act granting a pension to Hiram R. Ellis.August 7, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Hiram R. Ellis.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Hiram R. Ellis, formerly first lieutenant and adjutant of the Twenty-eighth Michigan Infantry, and pay him a pension as of the rank of first lieutenant, in lieu of the pension allowed him under the general pension law of the rank of sergeant of Company I, Fifth Michigan Cavalry, from and after the passage of this act.
