CHAP. 484.— An act for the relief of James Devine.March 2, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,James Devine. Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to James Devine, of the county of Brown, in the State of Minnesota, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven hundred dollars, for damages done to his land by the United States troops in cutting timber on the same for the building of Fort Hanska, and for fuel and other purposes, while in possession of said troops during the outbreak of the Sioux Indians in Minnesota.
