CHAP. 462.— An act to increase the pension of John W. Smith.March 2, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,John W. Smith. Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place upon the pension-roll the name of John W. Smith, formerly a private of Company F, First United States Dragoons, Mexican war; also lieutenant First Indiana Cavalry and private Company D.
One hundred and fifty-sixth Indiana Volunteers, in the war of the rebellion, and to pay him a pension of twenty-five dollars per month, in lieu of the pension he is now receiving. Approved, March 2, 1889.
