CHAP. 418.— An act to amend sections forty-four hundred and eighty-eight and forty-four hundred and eighty-nine of the Revised Statutes requiring’ lifesaving appliances on steamers.March 2, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Lifesaving appliances on steamers. R. S., secs. 4488, 4489, p. 868, amended. To provide line-carrying projectiles. That sections forty-four hundred and eighty-eight and forty-four hundred and eighty-nine of the Revised Statutes shall be amended by inserting after the words “life preservers,” wherever they occur, the words “ line-carrying projectiles, and the means of propelling them.
” Sec. 2. This act to take effect February first, eighteen hundredEffect. and ninety. Approved, March 2, 1889.
