CHAP. 343.— An act granting an increase of pension to Samuel J. Murphy, of Marengo, Iowa.March 1, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Samuel J. Murphy. Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Samuel J. Murphy, late a private in Company D, Thirty-seventh Regiment of Iowa Volunteer Infantry, a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month, in lieu of that which he now receives, to take effect from and after the passage of this act. Approved, March 1, 1889.
