CHAP. 313.— An Act for the relief of the First National Bank of Marion, Iowa.May 24, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,First National Bank of Marion, Iowa.Payment of lost interest coupons. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to the First National Bank of Marion.
Iowa, as interest from October first, eighteen hundred and eighty, to January first, eighteen hundred and eighty-three, on United States four per centum coupon bonds numbered two hundred and five and twenty-two thousand seven hundred and three, for five hundred dollars each, and numbered sixteen thousand eight hundred and forty-seven, twenty-two thousand one hundred and thirty-six. twenty-two thousand one hundred and thirty-eight, and five thousand four hundred and forty-two, for one thousand dollars each, the coupons representing the interest on said bonds for the period above indicated having 1071 been destroyed while detached from the bonds and in the custody of the United States postal authorities: *Provided, however*, That a satisfactory*Proviso*. bond of indemnity shall be filed with the Secretary of theIndemnity bond.
Treasury before said payment shall be made. Approved, May 24, 1888.
