CHAP. 245.— An act granting a pension to Mary C. Thompson.February 25, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Mary C. Thompson. Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary C. Thompson, widow of the late Doctor Fillmore Thompson, of Hot Springs.
Arkansas, who was chief guide to the expedition of General Frederick Steele, during the spring of the year eighteen hundred and sixty-four, undertaken for the purpose of cooperating with General Banks, and who lost his life by reason of exposure in said service, at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Approved, February 25, 1889.
