CHAP. 211.— An Act to authorize the construction of an arsenal for the repair, storage, and distribution of ordnance and ordnance stores for the use of the Government of the United States, at Columbia, Tennessee.May 1, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Columbia, Tenn.Arsenal established at.Appropriation. That for the purpose of establishing an arsenal at Columbia. Tennessee, for the repair, storage, and distribution of ordnance and ordnance stores, the sum of two hundred thousand dollars is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated; and the construction and control of said arsenal shall be under the direction of the Secretary of War: *Provided*, That without cost to the United States,*Provisos*.Lands to be given. a sufficient quantity of land, accepted as suitable and adequate for 108FIFTIETH CONGRESS.
Sess. I. Chs. 211, 212. 1888. such arsenal by the Secretary of War, and not less than fifty acres, is conveyed in fee to the United States: *And provided further*, That Jurisdiction.exclusive jurisdiction over said land by the United States Government is ceded by the State of Tennessee.
