CHAP. 185.— An Act to increase the pension of Nancy Rains, the oldest Revolutionary pensioner on the rolls, she being ninety-six years of age.April 23, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Nancy Rains.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to increase the pension of Nancy Rains, widow of John Rains, deceased, late a Revolutionary soldier, to thirty dollars per month, she being the oldest pensioner on the Revolutionary rolls, to wit, ninety-six years next June.
She now is drawing eight dollars per month, she being poor and dependent entirely on her pension for her support and care; that the same commence from and after the passage of this act. Approved, April 23, 1888.
