CHAP. 139.— An act granting a pension to Ellen White Dowling.February 12, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Ellen White Dowling. Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Ellen White Dowling, a volunteer nurse in the Army during the war of the rebellion, and pay her a pension of twelve dollars a month, during life, from and after the passage of this act. Approved, February 12, 1889.
