CHAP. 1227.— An Act for the relief of Margaret Kennedy.October 19, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the. United States of America in Congress assembled*,Margaret Kennedy.Payment to That the Quartermaster-General be. and he is hereby, authorized and directed to ascertain and state the value of all timber, fences, and fruit trees on the farm of John Kennedy, deceased, situate in the District of Columbia. upon which Fort Sedgewick was erected, taken, and used for firewood by the Army of the United States, and also the value of all timber sold by the Government which had been taken from said farm 1222 and used in the construction of said fort.
And the amount so stated shall be paid out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated to Margaret Kennedy, the widow and sole executrix of John Kennedy, deceased. Approved, October 19, 1888.
