CHAP. 1112.— An Act granting a pension to Lieutenant Starkey R. Powell, of Black Hawk war.October 12, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Starkey R. Powell.Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Starkey R. Powell, late lieutenant in Captain William B. Smith’s company of the Third Regiment of Illinois Mounted Volunteers in the Black Hawk war, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars a month. Approved, October 12, 1888.
