CHAP. 104.— An act granting a pension to Mrs. Philena T. Carpenter.January 30, 1889. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Philena T. Carpenter. Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mrs. Philena T. Carpenter, of Englewood, Illinois, who was a volunteer nurse during the war of the rebellion, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Approved, January 30, 1889.
