CHAP. 1030.— An Act for the relief of A. C. Bradford.September 22, 1888. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,A C Bradford.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay A. C. Bradford, late a judge of the thirteenth judicial district in the State of California, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of four hundred and eighty-seven dollars and fifty-five cents, which sum was assessed as the income tax, and was collected from and paid by him to the Government of the United 1189 Stales, upon his salary as such district judge, for the years eighteen hundred and sixty-eight and eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, such tax having been declared illegal and unconstitutional by the Supreme court of the United States.
