CHAP. 9.— An act to authorize the Merchants’ National Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas, to change its name to the First National Bank of Little Rock.Feb. 15, 1886. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Merchants' National Bank, Lit tie Rock, Ark. New name. That the name of the Merchants’ National Bank of Little Rock, located at Little Rock, Arkansas, shall be changed to the First National Bank of Little Rock whenever the board of directors of said bank having been previously authorized 4 by a vote of shareholders owning two-thirds of the stock of such bank shall accept the new name by resolutions of the board, and cause a copy of such resolutions, duly authenticated, to be filed with the Comptroller *Proviso*.of the Currency: *Provided*, That such acceptance be made within six months after the passage of this act.
Sec. 2. Debts, etc., to follow change. That all debts, demand, liabilities, rights, privileges, and powers of the Merchants’ National Bank of Little Bock shall devolve upon and inure to the. First National Bank of Little Bock whenever such change of name is effected. Approved, February 15, 1886.
