CHAP. 7.— An Act for the relief of William P. Chambliss.Dec. 21, 1886. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Wm. P. Chambliss.May be reinstated as major on retired list.*Provisos*. That the President be, and he is hereby, authorized to reinstate William P. Chambliss, late a major of the Fourth Regiment United States Cavalry, and place his name on the list of retired officers of the United States Army with the rank of major: *Provided, however*, That he shall receive no pay, compensation, or allow- 353ance of any kind under the provisions of this act for the time interveningNot to receive back pay. between the first day of November, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, the date of his resignation, and the date of the approval of this act: *Provided further*, That the retirement herein provided for shall be inRetired list increased. addition to the number now authorized by law and in lieu of all pensions.
