CHAP. 588.— An Act for the relief of William D. Stewart and others, heirs-at-law of James Stewart, deceased.June 30, 1886. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Refund of succession tax to heirs-at-law of James Stewart. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to refund to William D. Stewart, Thomas II. Stewart, William D. Stewart (guardian of the minor children of James Stewart, junior deceased), M.
F. Turner, R. M. McMillan, M. J. Powdon, and E. A, Dodd, heirs-at-law of James Stewart, deceased, of the county of Sumter and State of Georgia, the sum of sixty dollars each, being the amount paid by each of said persons to the United States as excise tax on succession to property as heirs-at-law of said James Stewart, deceased, when in fact they were not liable for any sum whatever. Sec. 2. That the sum of four hundred and twenty dollars be, and theAppropriation. same is hereby, appropriated from the Treasury of the United States for the purpose of enabling the Secretary of the Treasury to pay said claim.
