CHAP. 579.— An act to amend an act entitled “An act to provide for the erection of a public building in the city of Peoria, in the State of Illinois,” approved May ninth, eighteen hundred and eighty-two.June 30, 1886. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Peoria, Ill. Public building. Vol. 22, chap. 130, p. 62, amended. Limit of cost extended. That an act entitled “An act to provide for the erection of a public building in the city of Peoria, in the State of Illinois,” approved May ninth, eighteen hundred and eighty-two, be so amended as to extend the limitation of two hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars to two hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars, for the purpose of completing a third story to said building and of building an annex to the first story, according to plans and specifications to be previously made and approved by the Secretary of theAdditional ground.
Treasury, and of purchasing additional ground for said annex, said additional ground not to cost over sixteen thousand dollars; and no money appropriated for this purpose shall be made available until a valid title to said additional ground shall be vested in the United States, to be approved by the Attorney-General. Sec. 2. That the sum of fifty thousand dollars be, and the same isAppropriation. hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be used and expended for the purposes provided in this act.
