CHAP. 348.— An Act to amend sections twenty-five hundred and thirty-three, anti twenty-five hundred and thirty-four of the Revised Statutes, and making Hartford, in the State of Connecticut, a port of entry, in place of Middletown.Mar. 3, 1887. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Hartford, Conn., made port of entry and collection district in place of Middletown.[R. S., sec. 2533, p. 498, amended](/us/rs/t/s2533/p498).
That paragraph three of section twenty-five hundred and thirty-three of the Revised Statutes of the United States of America is hereby amended so that said paragraph, shall read as follows: " “Third. The district of Hartford; to comprise the waters and shores of the towns of Saybrook, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, 493 Chester, Haddam, East Haddam, Middletown, Cromwell, Catham, Tortland, Wethersfield, Boeky Hill, Glastonbury, Hartford, East Hartford, Windsor, Windsor Locks, East Windsor, South Windsor, Suftield, and Endfield, as bounded on the first day of January, eighteen hundred and eighty-six; in which Hartford shall be the port of entry, and Say-brook, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Chester, Haddam, East Haddam, Middletown, Chatham, Portland, Cromwell, Boeky Hill, Wethersfield, Glastonbury, and East Hartford ports of delivery.
” " Sec. 2. That paragraph three of section twenty-five hundred andCollector to reside at Hartford. thirty-four of the Revised Statutes of the United States of America is hereby amended so that said paragraph shall read as follows: " “Third. In the district of Hartford a collector, who shall reside at[R. S., sec. 2534, p. 498](/us/rs/t/s2534/p498). Hartford.” " Approved, March 3, 1887.
