CHAP. 255.— An Act for the relief of William Ervin.Feb. 24, 1887. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,William Ervin.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to William Ervin, bis heirs or assigns, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, seven thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, being the value of one hundred and eighty bead of beef-cattle seized unlawfully and taken out of his possession, in the State of Kansas, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-two, b.y order of Colonel Charles R.
Jennison, commanding the Seventh Regiment Kansas Cavalry, United States volunteers, said beef-cattle having been used as subsistence for the officers and soldiers of said regiment. Approved, February 24, 1887.
