CHAP. 42.— An act to adjust the accounts of John B. Monteith, deceased.May 7, 1884. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,John B. Monteith, deceased.Settlement of accounts of. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed in the settlement of the Indian accounts of John B. Monteith, deceased, late Indian agent at the Lapwai Indian Agency, in the Territory of Idaho, for the Nez Perce Indians, to allow him, or the administrator or executor of his estate, the sum of eight hundred and seventy five dollars and seventy five cents, which amount has been heretofore disallowed him in the settlement of his accounts in the Indian service; and which sum for that purpose is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
