CHAP. 346.— An Act for the relief of Silas Q. Howe, surviving partner of William T. Pate and Company.July 7, 1884. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Silas Q. Howe.Relief of. That the Secretary oi the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Silas Q. Howe, surviving partner of William T. Pate and Company, of Patriot, Indiana, the sum of nineteen thousand three hundred and eighty-five dollars, the same being the amount due them for taxes paid the sixteenth day of March, anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, on distilled spirits which had already paid the tax required by law; and an amount sufficient to pay filename is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
