CHAP. 245.— An Act granting an increase of pension to Elbert Hewitt.February 26, 1885. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Elbert Hewitt.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to increase the pension heretofore allowed to Elbert Hewitt, late a private in Company C, Sixth Regiment Vermont Volunteers, from twenty-four dollars to forty dollars per month, from and after the passage of this act. Approved, February 26, 1885.
