CHAP. 135.— An act for the relief of Sarah A. Redmond.June 30, 1884. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Sarah A. Redmond.Relief of. That the auditor of the District of Columbia be, and is hereby, authorized to issue to Sarah A. Redmond a duplicate certificate for one lost or burned, numbered eighteen thousand three hundred and thirteen, class six, of the board of audit, for thirty dollars and ninety-four cents: *Provided*, That she furnish to the auditor satisfactory proof of the loss or destruction of the original certificate and that the same has not been paid and executes to the Commissioners of the District of Columbia a bond, with two sufficient sureties, in double the amount, as security in the issue of said certificate, and as an indemnity to said District against all cost, loss, or damage in consequence of the issue of said duplicate certificate.
And said certificate shall be redeemed, as all board of audit certificates are, by the Treasurer of the United States, as commissioner of the sinking fund of the District of Columbia. Approved, June 30, 1884.
