CHAP. 71.— An Act to authorize the Secretary of War to sell the military barracks, and the lands upon which they are located, in the city of Savannah, Georgia.Apr. 7, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Sale of military barracks and site, Savannah, Ga., authorized. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized to sell the military barracks located in the city of Savannah, Georgia, in such manner as he may think best for the public interest; and he is hereby authorized to make deed conveying the same, with the lands on which said barracks are located, now the property of the United States, to the purchaser or purchasers; and that he pay the money received for said property into the Treasury of the United States: *Provided*, That the said property shall be appraised*Proviso*. by a board of three Army officers and shall be sold at public sale at not less than its appraised value.
