CHAP. 474.— An Act donating condemned cannon to the town of Hatfield Massachusetts for monumental purposes.August 8, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Donation of cannon to town of Hatfield, Mass., for memorial purposes. That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, authorized to deliver, if the same can be done without detriment to the government, four condemned cast-iron cannon to the selectmen of the town of Hatfield, Massachusetts, to be used to support a memorial tablet inscribed with the names of the soldiers and sailors who enlisted from said town who lost their lives in the war of the rebellion.
