CHAP. 425.— AN ACT granting a pension to Elizabeth F. Rice.August 5, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Elizabeth F. Rice.Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll the name of Elizabeth F. Rice, of Osceola, Iowa, formerly of Mercersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, widow of Perry A. Rice, who died in Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia, February twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, having been captured by General.
J. E. B. Stuart, in a raid through Pennsylvania, on the tenth day of October, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, and that she be paid the sum of eight dollars a mouth. Approved, August 5, 1882.
