CHAP. 31.— An Act directing the Secretary of War to nay over to the Society of the Army of thee Cumberland seven thousand five hundred dollars, to aid in the erection of a statue or monument to General James A. Garfield.Mar. 11, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,General James A. Garfield, statue or monument to memory of. That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to pay over to the Society oi 29 the Anny of the Cumber land, out of the proceeds of the sales of any condemned ordnance or ordnance stores, the sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars, to be used in the erection of a statue or monument at Washington, District of Columbia, to the memory of General James A.
