CHAP. 292.— An Act for the relief of William. J. Pollock.July 12, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,William J. Pollock.Credit in account. That the accounting officers of the Treasury be, and they are hereby, authorized, in settling the accounts of William J. Pollock, late collector of internal revenue for the second district of Pennsylvania, to credit said Pollock with the amount, not exceeding the sum of three thousand four hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents, of the unused coupons attached to the stubs of special tax stamps deposited by him in the post office at Philadelphia, February twelfth, eighteen hundred and seventy five, but lost in transmission to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue, in the city of Washington.
