Dabney, United States consul at Fayal, to accept a gold medal from the French Republic.May 26, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Samuel W. Dabney.Authority to accept gold medal. That Samuel W. Dabney, United States consul at Fayai, be, and is hereby, authorized to accept from the President of the French Republic a life-saving testimonial gold medal for gallantry in rescuing four seamen of the.French bark Jacques Couer, wrecked at Fayai on the night of November thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty. Approved, May 26, 1882.
