Dabney, United States consul at Fayal, to accept a gold medal from the French Republic.May 26, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Samuel W. Dabney.Authority to accept gold medal. That Samuel W. Dabney, United States consul at Fayai, be, and is hereby, authorized to accept from the President of the French Republic a life-saving testimonial gold medal for gallantry in rescuing four seamen of the.French bark Jacques Couer, wrecked at Fayai on the night of November thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty.
