CHAP. 165.— An Act granting a pension to Jesse F. Phares.May 17, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Jesse F. Phares.Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Jesse F. Phares, late a scout under General McClellan; but the amount of such pension shall not be greater than said Phares would be entitled to if he had been a private soldier and shall commence from the passage of this act. Approved, May 17, 1882.
