CHAP. 158.— An act for the relief of Joseph Wescott and Son.Mar. 3, 1883. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Joseph Wescott and Son.Relief of. That the sum of three thousand four hundred and sixty-eight dollars be, and the same hereby is, appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying Joseph Wescott and Son, of Portland, in the State of Maine, the said sum, as a balance due to them for cut granite furnished by them, under contract and otherwise, for the construction of two stairways in the east wing of the State, War, and Navy Depart- 809 FORTY-SEVENTH CONGRESS.

Sec. 2. That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized a directed to pay the said sum of money to the said Joseph Wescott a Son upon the execution and delivery to him of proper receipts therefor.
