CHAP. 147.— An act for the relief of Ernest F. Unland.Mar. 3, 1883. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Ernest F. Unland.Relief of. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Ernest F. Unland, of Pekin, Illinois, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven hundred and ninety-six dollars and seventy-one cents, the same being the amount paid by said Unland, in error, on the eighteenth day of October, anno Domini eighteen hundred and eighty, into the United States Treasury, to effect a compromise of a judgment of forfeiture and costs held by the United States against the distillery and premises of the City Distilling Company of Pekin, said judgment and costs having already been quashed by executive pardon of August twenty-fourth, anno Domini eighteen hundred and eighty, granted to the owners of said distillery.
