CHAP. 147.— An Act donating condemned cannon and cannon balls to the city of Topeka, Kansas, for monumental purposes.May 17, 1882. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Condemned cannon, etc., donated That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, authorized to deliver, if the same can be done without 65 detriment to the government, to the city of Topeka, Kansas, four condemnedto city of Topeka, Kans., for Monument, etc. cast iron cannon and twenty cannon balls, to be placed on a monument to be erected in memory of deceased soldiers in the Topeka Cemetery.
