CHAP. 42.— An Act to authorize and direct the Commissioner of Agriculture to attend, in person or by deputy, the international sheep and wool show, to be held in the Centennial buildings, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, in September, anno Domini eighteen hundred and eighty, and to make a full and complete report of the same, and for other purposes.April 1, 1880. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,International sheep and wool show.
That the Commissioner of Agriculture be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to attend in person or by deputy, the international sheep and wool show to be held in the Commissioner to attend in person or by deputy. Report.Sheep and wool imported for Exhibition free of duty.Centennial buildings, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, in September, anno Domini eighteen hundred and eighty, and to make a full and complete report of the same. Sec. 2. All sheep and wool which shall be imported for the sole purpose of exhibition at the international show hereinbefore mentioned, shall be admitted without the payment of duty or customs lees or charges, under such regulations as the Secretary of the Treasury may *Proviso.*Sales after importation.prescribe: *Provided,* That all sheep and wool which shall be sold hi the United States, or withdrawn for consumption therein at any time after such importation, shall be subject to the duties, if any, imposed on like imports by the revenue laws in force at the date of importation:
And *Proviso.**provided further* That in case any sheep or wool imported under the provisions of this act shall be withdrawn for consumption, or shall be Penalties.sold without payment of the duty required by law, all the penalties prescribed by the revenue laws shall be applied and enforced against such imports and against the person who may be guilty of such withdraw’al or sale.
