CHAP. 100.—An act granting an increase of pension to Isabel L. Evans. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Isabel L. Evans, increase of pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed (subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws) to increase the pension of Isabel L, Evans and Isabel M. Evans, widow and infant child of John J. Evans, deceased, late draftsman on board the United States vessel “Huron”, who are now receiving a pension of eight dollars per month and two dollars per month respectively, to the rate provided by law for the widow and infant child of an ensign in the naval service of the United States; the said increase to date from the twenty-fourth day of November, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven.
And the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby directed to pay to the said Isabel L. Evans and her child, out of any moneys in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, the sum of money necessary to carry into effect the provisions of this act. Approved, March 1, 1881.
